Hi! I’m Lois Eggleston and I’ve been interested in art and fine crafting since I could hold a pencil. I’ve worked with all art mediums and am currently working with drywall compound for sculpting.
In 2019, I was the proud winner of the Canal Winchester’s Art Guild Mural Contest. My winning painting is now hung on the East wall of the Canal Family Dentistry, Inc. on Waterloo Street. My painting is called “lonely tree.” Winning that award was the highlight of my artistic life.
In 2019 I turned my attention to drywall sculpting. After seeing this art form demonstrated, I became absolutely in awe of this art medium. Below you can see some examples of my completed pieces. The Mermaid and Merman reside in my half-bath and were created directly on the wall. The headboard is in my bedroom and the hummingbird is framed. I just finished a large mixed-media piece (The tree) which includes drywall sculpting and painting with acrylic. It measures 24” x 36” and can be framed or inserted directly into a wall, or other item that fits these dimensions.
