Pamela Montgomery

A self-taught watercolor artist, Pamela Montgomery creatively displays life as it once was. Her artwork reflects her love for traditional settings. The beauty of Pamela’s work is reflected in her innate ability to portray historical structures with a nature-enhanced setting. Living in the country in a historical brick home overlooking a nature preserve, has inspired her work. She is taken by the memories and stories shared of the “old days” – a more peaceful, quite time when people worked together and spent time sharing life.

The visual images she creates with watercolors give new life to structures which she considers monuments to our past. Many hours of concentrated painting capture the exquisite detail of chosen subjects.

Her primary subject matter depicts historical structures, rural settings, and old-fashioned barns. Even though they may be abandoned or in various stages of disrepair, they grace our landscape with character and history. The historical structures in each carefully executed painting are thoroughly researched and the history information is provided to customers. Available for purchase are limited edition/signed and numbered reproductions, original watercolor paintings, note cards and original hand-painted ornaments on old slate.

Pamela’s work has won many awards and has exhibited in numerous juried, group, and solo shows throughout Central Ohio. She has sold many of her paintings and commission pieces to private and corporate collections, locally and throughout the United States.

A reviewer for The Columbus Dispatch described her work as “…delightfully refreshing, especially since the work is so well conceived and executed”.
